To All The Mothers I Know!

This is a little note to tell all the mother's that have touched my life Thank You! Being a mother is a special thing in life, and I am greatful everyday that I have the opportunity to be one. Enough is ENOUGH!!!

Well Dane and Brynn went to Region track today in Manti and I think Brynn came home with heatstroke or something. She came home got in the shower, ate dinner and went to bed. I got this pic after I put Aloe Vera on her shoulders. I think her last words were I've had ENOUGH. I think you get what she means. Poor thing. Rough day :( :( Dane seems fine he is just sunburned on his face.

Last night Garrett's team won! But I feel like I am the only person cheering on our team. All the other teams have tons of parents cheering on all the kids. I don't know why the parents on our team don't seem to be around. So there I am screaming my head off for the whole team like a crazy woman! I think kids need lots of cheerleaders in their lives. Maybe I need to find some for our team!

I have to admit I have been a slacker for a friend. My friend Heather moved into her new house about 2 weeks ago and I haven't been over for the grand tour. I have visited her house while it was being built to see the fun progress but not since they moved in. Heather is wonder woman she has 5 young boys and is full of life:) Heather your house is so Wonderful I just love the welcoming feeling it has! Thanks for being my friend:) I have always loved Jamen, Heather's 8 year old but he is my new main man. Just as Brynn and I were leaving he said is this your sister turning to point at Brynn. So I picked him up tell him I loved him because he is so smart and wonderful!!! I love that little guy boy he makes a mom feel good:) Brynn just laughed.

After Brynn and I got home from Heathers Justin and the boys were playing a little basketball so this is the family playing PIG.....A little while later Wyatt showed up to hang out. Last Saturday he was over and told Brynn they need to hang out every Sat. and because we were not home they couldn't so he came Sunday. This is a pick of everyone going to cause some trouble around town. Maybe doorbell ditch or some kind of trouble lol Sorry citizens of Monroe.

On to Saturday..

OK we all got up early on Sat. to get some shopping done. Justin dropped Brynn and I off at a Clothing store and took the boys to Walmart. Grandpa and Grandma Peterson gave me some money for my b-day. (Thanks Mom and Dad) and I wanted a new purse.

Then we went to meet Aunt Hollie, Uncle Bret, Harrison and Maddy for a Birthday lunch for Aunt Hollie because Sat. was her Birthday. We got to Five Guys burgers to come to find out Bubbie and Grandpa Ed were there too!! What a fun surprise!! They very sweetly bought our lunches (Thanks) I plead temporary insanity because I forgot to take a pic. But we had a great time with them. After lunch the boys went with Aunt Hollie and the gang to the movie X-men Wolverine. Justin went to his parents. Brynn and I met the girls. Loreen, Emmie, Karissa and Cami in Layton to see the Soloist. (that is the movie I chose to see because I am the birthday girl) He He:) It was a great true story SAD .....so SAD .....but good. I think Emmie cried through the whole movie. I love my friends!

Then after the movie back to Grandma's so Brynn could get ready for her dance thing. While we were there Aunt Audra came by with a birthday gift for me. To make a long story short she was given the neatest gift from her friend for a house warming gift and I had told her how much I loved it. So she went to all kinds of trouble to call her friend and go to the store and make one for me!!! It is my new favorite thing! Our Grandpa Argyle had a dairy when we were young and he sold whole raw milk to the public. I have great memories with my sisters and my cousin running around at the dairy playing and eating Popsicles. Skating on the pond in the winter. Playing children of the corn in the corn fields LOL it sounds scary but we all had a great time. My Grandpa Argyle and his 3 son all live in a row on the same street so there were always cousins to play with when I would visit my dad's house on weekends. So the gift is and old milk lid from the Argyle and son's dairy. It makes me happy just to see it and think of old times at the dairy.

Then Justin and I went to Costco to buy some meat. I think we had 15 min to get the shopping done. I have never made it in and out of Costco so fast.... There are just not enough minutes in the day...Now we are at Lagoon to watch Brynn Dance.

We went to pack up our stuff and head home from a great weekend. But I think I need another weekend to rest from this weekend. We love our family so much and we rarely get to see them so we are very happy we could squeeze them all in to our busy weekend. WE LOVE AND MISS ALL OF YOU!!

Fun Friday!!

This weekend has been quite the whirlwind of fun. On Friday I went to Provo with Garrett to pick up Dane and Brynn from the BYU track meet. Once I had them the night never seemed to slow down. We went to see Aunt Audra's family and there new house! It is so BEAUTIFUL!!! We couldn't stay long but we loved every minute of it. We miss them so much!

Then after there house I dropped off the boys to Justin at Grandma's and Grandpa's. Brynn and I meet Loreen and Emmie and their Daughters at Texas Roadhouse for a Birthday dinner. It was fun to have our daughters come along this time. Loreen and Emmie and I are all up north to watch our girls dance at Lagoon on Sat. So that's why my Birthday dinner is a week early.


After dinner we said goodbye to the girls and went to find Justin and the boys at Grandma Peterson's It was fun to see her because it was her birthday on Friday. We had the best day but I was exhausted after such a long fun day.

A little pick me up!!

When Brynn got home from school she said she needed a little pick me up! All I can say is I know its not good but its the facts. When we are having one of those days we head into Richfield for a road trip to get some ICE CREAM!!! It always makes a girl feel better :)

Sorry I have been slacking off with the blog I promise I am back to it:) Last week Brynn had her hair cut and colored it is so cute!! She had 4 inches cut off but in now looks so healthy and she loves it!

Home Run Baby!!

Garrett hit a home run in Thursday nights game it was AWESOME!! Last night they played Wayne and won 11 to 2 this is Wayne's first loss of the season. So our team is in first place in the league. Grandpa and Uncle Collin came off the mountain from turkey hunting to watch the game. So Garrett had a big cheering section last night. I have to keep the book so I have yet to get pictures of him pitching and batting but I will!!!!!!

Happy Secretaries Day!

Today I got to work to find flowers and cookies and a really sweet note from my principal on my desk. I love my job so much!! Everyday I go to work and think I am so lucky to have this job and I am happy to go everyday. So the flowers were like a great bonus. The note said Happy Secretaries Day! Thank you for all you do! You are appreciated!

Hey Batter Batter

Garrett had a baseball game Tuesday and one Thursday. He is the Yankee's starting pitcher. So far he has struck out 12 out of 14 kids pitching 2 innings each game and not one of them has hit off him! Baseball is his favorite sport so he spends hours outside pitching at a target in the backyard. Last night they played in the snow. Justin came home and told me the things the coaches say like " check that kids birth certificate" and " know one is going to hit off Garrett if he keeps pitching like that". It is so fun to watch your son doing good at the thing he loves most. One of the kids on Garrett's team asked Justin (who is the assistant coach) if Garrett is aloud to pitch that fast? LOL Then commented that he is glad he is on Garrett's team so he won't have to hit off of him. So far its been a great start in the season. Plus they asked him to play up on the 13 year old team!! Fun FUN!

WICKED!!!!

Dane got to go to wicked today with Cindy and her family. He said it was so awesome!! First they went to the Capital Building then to the Lion house to eat lunch. After that they went to the Joseph Smith Building to see the Temple views and then to WICKED at the Capital Theater. He said he had the time of his life today!

Coloring Easter Eggs

Today we colored eggs for Easter. Brynn and Landon were first to color them. Until Garrett came home with Kyler then they finished them up. They turned out really cute. But I think everyone has stained fingers.

Drill team tryouts

On Wed. The girls had there tryouts for drill team. So Amy came over to practice right before. They went to tryouts then came home and had to wait until 10:30 p.m. to go see the names on the list of the girls who had made it. Brynn and Amy both made it again.

Nicknames!

Our family is the king of nicknames everyone has at least 2 in our house even the dogs. If you happened to get called by your real name here you must be in some kind of trouble. Hehe But Brynn has a friend named Amy and before we even meet Amy she had a nickname for Brynn so she is my kind of girl! Amy calls Brynn~ Brynnaferd and Brynn calls Amy~ Aimister. They are so funny when they get together they went to the movie on Sat. night and had a blast together. Dane and Landon went with them too. Dane drove and got pulled over after the movie. Brynn said he was so nervous yelling random things at them as it was happening. Then the cop pulled up to the side of Dane's car and said "hey turn your lights on" Whoa! Dane was so happy after that! They went to see Monsters vs. Aliens.

Dane has decided to date other girls so he talked with Cindy and they both thought that would be a good idea. So the next day he just happened to get a text from a girl Jessica at his school. Asking him out on a date! So last night he went to her house for pizza and a movie with another couple. He had a great time. He said he didn't want to get a pic with her yet but he got a pic of the pizza they all made. Yummy!

Garrett was Lucky enough to be at Kyler's house on April Fool's day. They had the funnest dinner made by Ky's mom. Cupcakes that were really meat with colored mashed potatoes on top. Carrots in a sealed Cheetos bag. Jello with a straw in it for the drink. For dessert it was spaghetti and meatballs(eclairs covered with frosting and strawberry sauce with whoopers for meatball.) Ruth is so creative and always doing fun stuff! Thanks for having him over he had a blast!!

A year in Review!

This is what is on Brynn's wall when you walk in her room. It is a years worth of pictures and stuff from drill team. Brynn loves drill and she has really improved as a dancer all year. I hope to take all this stuff and make a scrapbook for her each year. But don't hold your breath or anything I said I hope too. LOL Drill team try-outs for next year start tomorrow! So GOOD LUCK SAS!!

Grateful!

Yesterday we took the kids out of school for Clint Elmers funeral. All except for Dane he was in Manti at a singing competition. It was a day of remembrance and gratefulness. Clint was a great husband, dad and friend. We will all miss him. It made me appreciate all I have at this very moment and to live for today. We went to a late lunch after the services and enjoyed each others company.
