The Tooth Fairy M.I.A.

A couple days ago Garrett lost a tooth and we didn't think much of it. The next night when he was going down stairs he looked at Justin and me and said " The freakin tooth fairy didn't even come last night" In a really mad voice. So the tooth fairy just happened to show up that night and Garrett is still mad! The poor baby of the family.

Dane is Legal!

Dane got his permit the day he turned 15, so excited to drive. He was told he would be driving in the summer with the drivers ed teacher because he took the class last year. But we never got a call. When his birthday was getting close I called and they said they were behind and he could start driving soon. But football is everyday after school so he could only drive once a week:( So today we went to the drivers licence division to take the driving test and get the licence. He passed!!!Yeah!! We gave him his car awhile ago but this is a pic of him standing by it. So Get off the sidewalks. Ha ha. Its nice to be 16.

The Pumpkin Patch

Every year we go to the same pumpkin patch to get our pumpkins. This year I wondered, will my teenagers go or not? But to my surprise they all wanted to. But even though the teenagers are with you they are not really with you anymore. (look at Brynn texting ha ha) Garrett always gets the biggest one but this year he had to carry his own. We had a great time as a family. It was good times:) Happy Halloween!!

Missing old times with the Ott's

One of the gifts Becca made us!!

Easton!!

Last year~ Two years AGO

Back in the day!!

Becca made these outfits for them
for Brynn's birthday!!

Leaf placemats

We are the luckiest family in the world. We had the opportunity to live next to the best family in the whole world the Ott's!! We moved to Richfield in 1993 and lived in a 4-plex. Just as regular apartments do we got new neighbors a lot. But the best ones ever were the Ott's. Darrin and Becca had two kids just like us a boy Dason and a girl Janikah. From the first day of meeting them it was like we had known them our whole lives. We had great times together laughing, having FHE, taking our kids places. We think about the Ott's every time there is an eclipse. Becca had made these really cool glasses to watch it so we stayed up late with the kids so they could experience their first eclipse. Becca was a super mom and still is. She could scrapbook, craft, sew and make these fabulous dinners and still look perfect and so did the kids! What is so amazing is she still does even after having 6 kids. Plus she makes the best gifts, they are always homemade and from the heart! We got the chance to see Becca, Jani and Easton this weekend when they came up to a volleyball tournament in Richfield. I love when we get the chance to see them. We went to Kanab last year for football and as Dane got on the line he just happened to be up against Das. He said," Hey Das"! It took Das a min. to realize it was Dane. It was a blast to see them again! They are the kind of people you miss like crazy but when you get the chance to see them its like they never left. I remember one of the scariest days in our lives they were there to help us. Brynn had a seizure in our apartment and I yelled to Justin to go get Darrin to help us. Because he is a Doctor, and I remember how calm he was and gentle with Brynn. He made a very scary time in our lives not so scary. We also had tons of good times. One time Justin and I left for a ride and I left cookies baking in the oven and forgot about them and when we got home they told us about the black smoke and from then on I was Smokey the Bear!! Ha Ha. They would do anything for us! We love you guys!! Hugs and Kisses

Lol Justin has nicknames for most of our kid's friends. Landon is hambone?/? or double L (for Landon Leavitt) ha ha. Cindy is Ch as in the sound Ch Ch for Cindy Hales. lol they both laugh but I think they don't care or they think that Justin is crazy:{ Lol

On the way to Blanding Utah

We went to San Juan for our last region football game yesterday and these are a few of the things we saw on the way. It sure is beautiful there. But I would not want to live there because it is in the middle of nowhere. Ha ha. We lost the game but we took 2ND in our region San Juan is in 1st place.

Homecoming Dates ~ Back in Black (theme)

Dane and Cindy ~ Aaron and Kaylee ~ Kortney and Andrea ~ Dana and Luke

For the date they took the girls three legged bowling. They tied bandannas around their legs and bowled as couples. Then went to get a treat at the dairy. After they went home to get beautiful. For dinner they met at Kortney's house where his mom made them an awesome dinner! Then they headed to the dance. After that they came to our house to enjoy a chocolate fountain. Yummy. Then back to Kort's for a flick. It was Dane's first dance and he loved every minute of it!!!

Hangin out

This is what Jacob & Bri and Brynn & Landon did for Homecoming night. They came over and helped me do a test run on the Chocolate Fountain He He! Then since Bri and Brynn are not 16 yet. They hung out and watched a movie!

The Girls(the dogs)

These are the other two girls in our lives. Cotton's children. Zoe is 7 years old, and Sophie is 3 years old. One fat and one thin. One lazy and one really hyper. You can guess which one is which.

Homecoming week

Dane is big on dressing up!! So when he has the chance to do it he does. The 1st day was discombobulated day (What huh)? Ya lol The 2nd was duct tape day. The 3rd was Character day. The 4th was blast from the past. Tomorrow is spirit day and he will wear his jersey again. Brynn on the other hand thinks she is way too cool to dress up Ha ha.

Home of a Ram!

The Cheerleaders came around this week to decorate the Varsity Football players rooms and put up these signs for Homecoming week. They threw candy all around Dane's room and hung crate paper.

Wrestling

This is what happens every time I get on the computer. It starts with Justin coming in then Garrett shows up to wrestle dad, after a minute Garrett yells for help and in comes Dane. Both the boys try to prove that they are stronger than Dad is. Ha Ha not yet boys. **Note take a good look at the pic there is a tennis ball in Justin's hand. Sophie is obsessed with balls and will sit there until Justin throws it no matter what is going on around her. Lol

~Friends~

These are two of my best friends. Loreen Chisholm and Emmie Morgan. For the past several years on our birthdays we plan trips to Provo or Salt Lake. We let the birthday girl decide where and what she wants to do. On this trip it was Emmie's birthday so she wanted to go shopping (of course) because we all love to shop. Then lunch and a movie. Emmie gets to choose who comes with us so she asked her two daughters Christien and Casey to join in on the fun!! We hit two malls for shopping. Then went to a restaurant called Carrabas yum!! Then we went to see the movie Eagle Eye! I was way excited because this is the movie I have been really wanting to see!! I love these ladies we are 3 peas in a pod. We love getting together, they are the kind of Friends that you laugh and cry with.. you know those kind of friends. Thanks for a great time girls. Love ya!!!

Dane's goals

Well this last Sunday Dane got to bless the sacrament for the first time. Wow as a mom listening to him give the prayer was a spiritual thing. I always think "I hope I am a good mom and teaching my kids the right things". This is just one of those times you think maybe something I am doing is right. Yesterday we went to parent teacher conference with Dane's homeroom teacher and she asked him his plans for the future and without a blink he said after I graduate I am going on a misson then to BYU for Engineering. One great thing about Dane is he knows where he is heading in life and has great goals. But I think he was born that way not because of my influence. ha ha.. Well I am grateful for a son who honors his priesthood.
